This week our class presented their project 3 to the class. This project was to create 3 different texts for a non profit and circulate them. Hearing about what each of the groups did and how they went about circulating their texts was very beneficial. Being a marketing major I really enjoyed this project and being able to learn how other groups decided to get their texts to their audience. Every group that presented brought different ideas and ways of doing the project. My favorite project was the one where they tied candy canes onto a small slip of paper that had information about the organization. They passed the candy canes out at elementary school and grocery stores. This was very creative of this group, they focused on materials by using the candy cane and small piece of paper, They said that they made sure to only put the important information on the piece of paper because they know in today's day no one has time to read a bunch of information. Overall, I would say that groups struggled with circulating the texts that they made the most. Creating the texts were not that challenging but circulating was more of a challenge. The one texts that stood out to me was the gif that was made, hearing how much work that went into it made it that more better. After watching all of the class presentations of project 3 I would have tried to make our texts more creative. I think we settled on the typical social media posts, flyer and video instead of really thinking and trying to get creative. I am still very happy with our project and think it turned out great and helped Girls On The Run but it could have definitely been more creative. I do believe that my group was creative with our presentation though by making an Instagram account to present our texts. Some of the other groups chose to do a power point or Prezi and those can be boring. Project 3 is over and now we only have our ePortfolio to turn in. It is crazy how fast this semester has flown by but proud of my classmates for the awesome work they have created that they will be able to use in the resumes.
